It all began in 1950. It was in that year that my father, Giuseppe Polato, founded the farm: a piece of land cultivated with dedication, hard work and a deep love for nature. I, Riccardo, grew up amongst those fields, learning from a young age to recognise the scent of damp earth, the value of manual labour and respect for nature’s rhythms. In 1986, the pull of my roots and the desire to preserve my father’s legacy led me to leave university and take the reins of the family farm, putting my commitment, sense of responsibility and heart into it.

In 2020, that desire took on a clear form: to set up a farm holiday campsite. Elisa and I didn’t want to wing it. We wanted to create a welcoming, well-maintained place that would combine the tranquillity of the countryside with the comforts of a modern facility. That’s why we began researching, attending courses, discussing ideas and planning every detail with care and dedication. The aim was clear from the outset: to blend modern facilities with the traditional heart of our farm, without losing the authentic spirit of this place. After years of hard work, hope and teamwork, on 8 June 2025 the doors to our dream finally opened. On that day, Elisa, Nicole, Mathias and I saw something come to life that for years had been just an idea, then a project, then a building site, and finally a reality. Today, our farm campsite is set within a unique farm, which stands out for the variety of its fruit production: a place that continues to grow, evolve and keep its connection to the land alive.
